Insurance

There are so many questions that patients have with regards to their personal health insurance benefits when scheduling their initial appointment. We are providers for the insurance companies shown below; however, there are many different individual plans that you can choose or that your employer has chosen for you. This makes it difficult to explain whether or not you have chiropractic coverage for services rendered at Scott Family Chiropractic.

We will contact your insurance company as a courtesy for you while you are in your office or sometime inbetweeen your first and second visit. We highly recommend for you also to be familiar with your policy and benefits prior to your initial visit. It is crucial for you to bring your most current insurance card to your first visit.

Most patients with chiropractic coverage have a co-payment which is due at the time of service, and possibly an annual deductible that has to be met. These amounts are pre-determined by your insurance company and is an agreement between you (the patient) and your insurance company.

However, Colorado Medicaid and Military Insurance does not cover chiropractic.

Automobile Insurance: On July 1, 2003, state law in Colorado reformed drastically. Colorado is now a TORT state (Fault), previously a PIP state. (No-Fault). Our office is committed to educating our patientson the ever-changing state laws. Medical Payments Coverage (Med-Pay) currently is an OPTIONAL extension of coverage on one's auto policy. It is incredibly dangerous to be driving without this coverage. Med-Pay covers each individual in your vehicle if you were to be involved in a motor vehicle accident, regardless of fault. If you are involved in an accident and the other driver is deemed at fault, their insurance company is liable for you and your passengers. However, settlement and litigation can take months, even years. A possible worse case scenario is that the other driver may not be insured. Having med-pay ensures that you and your passengers can recieve excellent, quality care and your medical bills are paid within a timely maner, versus waiting and possibly having to pay for services redered out of pocket. If you have questions, please contact our staff. We are here to protect you! Here is a flow chart to explain what to do if you are involved in a car accident in the state of Colorado.
